For amberley's suggestion that I try to draw Kurogane and Fai in the same pose as Syaoran and Sakura and I... uhm... couldn't, quite... they just refused to touch foreheads. *laughter*

And then I tried to get something else out of my head, but I didn't do quite so well, things are skewed, that three-quarters turn of the head is hard to draw... But the face on the angel thingy wasn't *right* and I think I got closer to Faber, and he pulled Cahliah with him... *sigh* At least an attempt at a Vessel. It's only a Vessel, right?

One more sketch, this one is for incandescens. If she can recognize who it is I shall be very, very happy. *grin*

I seem to do better with characters I can see in front of me than drawing them from out of my head. Maybe that's just true for everyone...

Of the five I drew, these three are... kinda there. *grin* One of the five was just an eye... another was just the curve of wing. These are mostly there, but just pencil sketches, no ink or colors, still very, very rough... I still don't get the bodies quite *right* yet. There's still proportioning that I'm getting wrong, and it feels... odd, still. I'm getting somewhere with it, but it's step by step...

We spent most of the first day of 2008 at the Denver Art Museum.

I'll admit that I never expected to have a son who, on being asked if he wants to go to the art museum would go, "YEAH! When are we going? I wanna go now!"
