The weekend was mostly spent recovering from last week. Though, to note, Jet was like much, much happier this weekend than he was all last week. Which is a very good thing indeed.

In the last couple of days, with the brace, my wrist has gotten very much better. A lot of it was my mental attitude, too, with it being impossible to hurt myself, everything's changed and felt a whole lot better.

We did have a few cool highlights. The zucchini lasagna was very good, and used most of the vegetables that could have used using in the fridge. The ricotta from the cheese shop was lovely, smooth and creamy, the moz good and chewy and the real parmesan really made a big difference to the taste of the dish. It all set up nicely while John made garlic bread, and we had a wonderful dinner.

We also went to Dairy Queen in the twilight, and I had Jet in the sling, sitting, facing forward. He was fascinated by the menu board, and loved smiling at all the people from the safety of sitting with his back against me. He really enjoyed going there and kept trying to snag my hot fudge sundae. No ice cream for baby, yet, as cow's milk is one of those later things, along with chocolate and nuts.

That was fun, though.

All in all, a really great weekend. This coming week is going to be busy as well, and I have a meeting at work this afternoon from 3:30-5:30, and John's being great and going to enjoy playing with Jet while I'm away. Last Wednesday, John had Jet to himself from 9-3 in the afternoon and they did famously together. Solids and formula are making quite a difference, not having to do a pit stop with Mama every two hours has made Jet quite ready to travel. That's really great. Independence for both of us.
