I was up at 5:15 am this morning, Mountain time, and I got up, put myself groggily together while John snored away happily in his warm bed, and then I went downstairs and got all my stuff into the Passat and took off, out into the greater darkness...
MakiYaki is likely one of the few places in Los Gatos where one can pick up a complete sushi dinner, with miso for only $11.
Yum.
"Cheap" sushi in Colorado is fraught with pitfalls. Here, though, it's good, fresh, and fast. And I'm very happy to partake of it in any way I can.
I got a shower in and a good long talk with the boys along with a head start on the work I have to finish tomorrow. So I am very content. AND I can get to bed before 9:30. Woohoo!
It's mildly odd as the news gradually spreads out about me following John's footsteps. As John put it, "Yeah, no one is really *happy* about us leaving, but that's to be expected. We're leaving the work for others to do..."
