Went last night to pick up John's mom and dad from the airport, and Jet was dressed in his pajamas and he brushed his own teeth and was all ready to go to sleep when we started the hour-long ride to the airport. Both he and I nearly fell asleep on the way there, but I got him talking about The Three Pigs by David Weisner, which is rather different than the original tale and Jet got into explaining what it was all like. Then I got him started on how houses of other materials might work. He really, really liked how dangerous toothpick houses might be. *grin*

We got them, no problem, and I went to sleep to the sound of Jet giggling like mad in the back of the van.

I'll admit, whenever I read the book I think of this video, which I remember seeing when I was a kid.

It's good having Isabel and George here, as Jet has the week off on vacation. John could take him for the week, but the OUR Center doesn't really close now, as it's when they're nearly needed the most as the weather is about to get Really Cold, something like 6-10 inches of snow by the end of Thursday. So it's great that they're here and can help out.

Plus, it'll be wonderful having them here for Christmas. :-)
