John, Jet and I have succumbed to suburban peer pressure and put up the Christmas tree. There's one house here that is literally dripping with lights. Yeesh. Okay, so it helped that JET really wanted to put the tree up and he was willing to first help John with the frame and then me with all the branches. He and John put up all the lights and then John cut out two snowflakes that Jet wanted stapled together.

When Jet saw the pouch, he said, "I want to put a message in there. I want it to say 'Thank you, Santa for my presents.'" And when it was done, "I want it to say, on the outside, 'From Jet to Santa'." Yay!

Polite boy. But he's actually writing the whole message out himself, on what is turning into three different pieces of paper that are being taped to each other as he can't quite space the letters very well. Oops. But he's doing it, letter by letter.

When Jet sees me write, now, he says, "Wow, Mom, you're fast..." It's gratifying that he notices.
